Although Vietnam has recently improved its food security because of increasing food production, several segments of the population still face the challenge of food insecurity. The project was developed, revised and adjusted to address the challenges based on comments and recommendations from the three-party conference. It gave special attention to household food security and the use of food security data for policy analysis and the strengthening of the capacity of MARD to monitor and forecast provincial level food crop production.
