Editor FAQs

  • How do I register as editor?

    Go to “My Account” on the Menu bar and fill out the information for New Users. Alternatively, if you click on the “Add Your Project” or the “Register Your Project” buttons on the homepage, you will be directed to the “My Account” page where you can sign up as new user.

    A message will be sent to your nominated email containing your password. If you can’t see a message from [email protected] in your inbox, check your Spam/Bulk folder.  You can login to the site and change your password in “My Account” >> “Account Settings”.

  • How do I use the Editor Dashboard/Portal?

    Upon logging in, you will see the Dashboard containing recent updates in the site including edits and new projects created by our registered users.

    You can create or add new projects by clicking on “Projects” >> “New Project”. New partner entries may also be entered by clicking on “Partners” >> “New Partners”. All created entries are subject to the approval of the MI administrator to ensure that the information is valid and to prevent duplication. Once approved, the project will appear in the public site. Confirmation can take from 24 to 48 hours.

  • How do I edit existing project or organization information in the database?

    The Editor Dashboard does not allow editing of existing project or donor information already registered in the database. To do this, click “Home” in the Menu bar (you need to be logged in as user), and you will be directed to the public view of the site.

    You may edit project information by clicking on the “Sectors” or “Country” tab and selecting the project you wish to edit. Similarly, organization information may be edited by clicking the “Partners” tab in the Menu bar.

  • Can I delete entries in the database?

    The delete access is available only to MI staff/database administrator. If there are entries you wish to be deleted, please contact the MI project staff/database administrator.

  • Why should I register as editor?

    The editor function of the database allows project managers and staff and donor organizations to make edits, update, and add information on existing and upcoming projects. This is also our way to encourage concerned organizations to be active information managers of this database.
