The project aims at increasing the resilience to climate change related risks of enterprises along selected agricultural value-chains in Shan State.
It focuses on three fields of activity:
Planning and implementation of adaptation measures along value chains;
Improving the access of producers to high-quality meterological and climate data for better decision-making; and
Consideration of climate risks in planning processes at township and district level.
About 1500 enterprises (small agricultural producers and connected businesses) along the value chains of tea, mango and vegetables in 12 townships of the Taunggyi, Muse and Kyaukme districts, as well as in the self-administered zones of Danu, Paoh, Palaung and Kokang in Shan State are involved in the project.
