Project Information

The project's goal was to help rural communities achieve stronger tenure over natural resources. It aimed to:

• Strengthen rural communities’ capacities to enable them to manage and protect their lands;
  
• Implement land management models that give communities ownership;
  
• Conduct a high quality land related research that influences government land policy in favor of increased community control of natural resources; and
  
• Increase food security and/or income generation from agricultural and/or non-timber forest products.
