Project Information

Since 2007, the GMS Working Group on Agriculture (WGA) has supported the GMS countries in carrying out a study on strategies and options for biofuels and rural renewable energy development in the GMS. There are three outputs for this projects:

  • Subregional framework for bionergy development with food security concerns mainstreamed
  • Capacities of government institutions, service providers and rural communities to support bioenergy development
  • Knowledge products and business models for ensuing investment project from pilot projects and studies.

Complementary Information

The project provides support to gender-responsive investment models in targeted countries. Moreover, gender-sensitive capacity-building support is provided to all stakeholders of the project.
